Interface
Settings → Interface — look, feel and a couple of guard rails. (The About tab next door holds the version number, the project description, the update controls, and buttons to aura-mixer.com and the Discord.)
The view toggle isn't on this tab — it lives in the menu bar at the top of the window, so you can switch from either view. Simple is the easy, mostly-automated view; Advanced is the full console. It's the same mixer underneath, switching loses nothing, and your choice is remembered. See Simple mode.
Appearance
Theme — Dark (default) or Light. Dark is the classic studio look and easy on the eyes during long sessions; Light wins in bright rooms. Takes effect immediately.
Behavior
Delete Confirmation (default: on) — the inline "are you sure?" step when deleting channels, buses or groups in the Channel Manager. Deleting a strip takes its processing and routing with it, permanently — leave this on unless misclicks are not a thing that happens to you.
Performance
Two switches that pause the user interface — never the audio — to save CPU when you're not looking:
- Freeze when minimized — VU meters and visual updates pause while the window is minimized.
- Freeze when unfocused — same, whenever another app has focus.
Sound capture, processing and output continue at full quality in both cases; the moment the window is back, the meters resume. If you keep Aura Mixer on a second monitor to watch the meters while working elsewhere, leave "unfocused" off — otherwise both switches are free efficiency.
